Child Safeguarding Statement

This Child Safeguarding Statement has been developed in line with ‘Risk of Harm’ as identified in the Children First Act 2015; Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017), and Tusla’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice.

The Child Safeguarding Pack contains 3 separate documents: 

1. Child Safeguarding Statement (summary statement to be displayed)
2. Child Safeguarding Procedure Guidelines (Staff Guidelines)
3. Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment (Risk levels before and after Control Measures associated with child safeguarding).

Under the Children First Act 2015 all early years services (including stand-alone afterschool services) as defined in the Childcare Act 1991 who employ one or more person are required to have a Child Safeguarding Statement.

Documents are personalised to your service and provided in PDF format. Once you place your order, you will receive a list of questions from Mosaic Digital Solutions to personalise your statement to your service, including name, address and management structure, key roles, record storage and other details unique to your service.
