Your support was essential in what was a difficult year for all small businesses. I hope we can get back to some kind of normality next year and I look forward to meeting some of our MOSAIC services in 2021.

Policy Packs from Meantóir
1. Essential Visitor Protocol
A number of early childhood services have found themselves in the position where an outside professional is required to make an essential visit to the setting in relation to the health, welfare and development of a child (or inspection purposes).
In this event, they have been asked to forward a specific written protocol for visitors in advance of the visit outlining COVID-19 protocol.
In response to this, we have developed an ‘Essential Visitor Protocol’. This document includes:
The protocol for visitors before, during and after the visit
- A visitor information record template for completion by the visitor before entering the setting
- A wellness self-declaration by the visitor
- A Covid-19 Contract tracing template should this be needed following a visit by an essential visitor.
The Essential Visitor Protocol document is personalised to your early childhood service details and is emailed to you in pdf. This in turn can be emailed to any potential essential visitors in advance. The contact tracing template is provided in editable word version so you can complete for multiple children/staff should this be necessary.

2. SAC Policy and Procedure E-Package
The Meantóir School Age Childcare Package have been specifically designed to meet the requirements of School Age Childcare registration with Tusla in that they are age appropriate for older children.
The Epackage contains the policy and procedure documents on the checklist including a child friendly versions where appropriate. Policies are updated with COVID-19 guidance and have also include accompanying forms and templates to save you time creating them.

The Meantóir Full Policies, Procedures and Statement Package contains all 21 policies and corresponding templates, developed in line with the Tusla QRF 2018 to ensure inspection compliance. Policies are updated with COVID-19 guidance and grouped and presented under 3 main headings:

4. Child Safeguarding Statement and Procedures
This comprehensive Child Safeguarding Statement and Procedures document is written in line with the 6 best practice themes outlined in the Tusla Children First Child Safeguarding Guide 2019.
This includes a summary statement for submission to Tusla including a risk assessment of harm to children.
The Child Safeguarding procedures for staff is divided into six sections referred to as best practice themes for your staff to follow in the event of a child protection issue.
Under the Children First Act 2015 all early years services (including stand-alone afterschool services) who employ one or more person are required to have a Child Safeguarding Statement.
